Call lists that convert: a consultant’s guide

A good call list turns a morning of calls into interviews and placements. A bad one wastes hours on the wrong people. The difference is in how the list is built and worked.

Build a tight list

Start from a clear goal - for example, available nurses within 20 miles for this week’s shifts - and filter hard. Fifteen relevant people beat a hundred loosely matched ones.

Work it top to bottom

Call in a set order and log an outcome for every call before moving on: connected, no answer, voicemail, callback or not interested. Momentum matters.

Follow up while it is warm

Send the email or text straight after the call, and book callbacks with a specific time. Most conversions happen on the second or third touch.

Act on many at once

When several people need the same message, send it to all of them at once and log it on every record.

How HotList Studio helps

HotList Studio builds call lists in Salesforce, runs a power-dial loop that logs every call and moves to the next member, and lets you email, text or schedule follow-ups for many people at once.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a call list be?

Short enough to work in one session - often 15 to 30 well-matched people.

Should every call be logged?

Yes. Logging outcomes keeps the list accurate and shows what is working.
